Festival of Lights Look #DiwaliInOffice

I think we can all agree that the motivation level of going to the office the day right before the beginning of the holidays is quite low. So, to keep things interesting, many offices celebrate ethnic day or something in the lines of the upcoming festivities. Although the idea is praiseworthy, the execution is a bit complicated. You want to shine without overstepping the invisible boundaries of dress-code. 
Pulling off a traditional look in the office needs a balanced approach in putting makeup and goldwork. As with everything, you don’t want to risk being too simple either. I decided to go with a simple green kurti patiala and golden jewelry. For shoes I went with a simple gold strapped glittery pair of sandals. I had bought the long golden neckpiece with a jeweled peacock pendant from Goa’s flea market, the earrings from DLF Cyber Hub’s Diwali special market, and multicolored bangles, the origin of which, unfortunately, I can’t remember. Anyway, here is the complete look:
